I expanded the tournament to 56 seats. Come with cash if you're interested in getting a spot. If you want to play, but haven't paid yet, I recommend that you come over early on Sunday with your cash. I'll do everything I can to try to squeeze you in, but I can't guarantee anything. I can be reached on my cell at (713) 397-5530.
Also, I will not accept checks on Sunday. So if you're planning to play, but have not paid, bring cash. |

|
| WHEN: | Sunday, February 15, 2004 **Please note that this is the day after Valentine's. If you can't get a hall pass on this day, you've got serious issues! |
| TIME: | 11 a.m. The Tournament will start on time, so please arrive approx. 30 minutes early so we can stay on schedule. If you're running late, and A.W.O.L when the tournament starts (but have already paid), your hand will be played in accordance with the "Absent Player" Rules as provided on the Rules Page. |
| LOCATION: | 4714 Waring Street, Houston, Texas 77027 (behind Luling City BBQ). Need a map? Click here. If it's an emergency, and you need to reach me, call my cell phone (713) 397-5530 (although I may not answer after 11am). |
| THE GAME: | No-Limit Texas Hold 'Em, Baby! |
| ENTRY FEE: | $110 ($100 entry fee + $10 assessment for Tournament costs/expenses). |
| FOOD/DRINK: | Food & Drinks will be provided. |
| SEATS AVAILABLE: |
The Tournament is limited to 47 seats (and no you can't sit on another player's lap). Because I expect these to fill up, I will not be able to reserve/hold a seat for anyone until they pay the entry fee. In other words, you will not be considered "entered" until I receive your payment. |
| HOW TO PAY: | It's
very easy! If you want to use a credit card, just click on the Paypal link
below (note, you don't even need to have a Paypal account). This is the simplest and fastest way to pay.
Paypal charges me a fee (and keeps a couple of dollars from your payment amount), so your Paypal payment will actually be for $115 ($100 entry + $10 costs + $5 Paypal fee). If you can't use a credit card (because you're maxed out again), you can mail me a check. Make it payable to “Mark Junell,” and mail it to the following address: Mark
Junell, Please note that if I have not
received your check prior to tournament, you will be considered unpaid.
For example, if you mail a check on Friday, February 13, and the
check hasn’t arrived, you’ll have to pay again to reserve
your seat. If it’s later
determined that you’ve paid twice, any overpayment will be returned. |
| STARTING CHIPS: |
Each
player will start with $500 in chips. |
| OPTIONAL RE-BUY: |
Players
will have the option of a “Re-Buy” any time their chip count is
$250
or less during the first 2.5 hours of the tournament (until the
conclusion of the first break). The
Re-Buy cost is $60, and it purchases an additional
$500 in chips.
In order to be eligible for the Re-Buy, you must have less than $251 in chips, and the Re-Buy period must still be in effect. There is no limit to the number of Re-Buys a player may make if he/she meets the above requirements. Once the Re-Buy period closes, there will be no further Re-Buys allowed. |
| OPTIONAL ADD-ON: |
Every
player will have the option of purchasing a single Add-On during the Add-On
break. The Add-On cost is $60,
and it purchases an additional $500 in chips.
Each player is allowed only one Add-On, and it can be made only during the Add-On break. The Add-On break will take place between the 2nd and 3rd blind level (note that this break coincides with the conclusion of the Re-Buy period). All Re-Buys
and Add-Ons must be purchased by the conclusion of this break.
Once the 3rd blind level starts, there will be no
further Add-Ons or Re-Buys allowed. If a player is eliminated prior to the first break, but wishes to remain in the tournament, he/she must immediately purchase a Re-Buy. In other words, you can't get knocked out on the first hand and wait until the 2.5 hour break to get back in. This does not apply to players who are eliminated on the final hand prior to the Re-Buy and Add-On break. Therefore at the break, only players with chips (and those who just lost all their chips on the previous hand) will be eligible to exercise the Re-Buy and Add-On. Remember
that all players can purchase the Add-On.
The Re-Buy is only for players whose chip count is $250
or less. |
